Angel Wingsfeatured

If you had angel wings would you fly so high above,
And visit every city with those of whom you love?
Would you shine your light upon them and a close embrace?
To feel the joys of laughter as tears roll down their face.

Would you share your love in a few moments of quiet bliss,
And smile at all the memories and moments you have missed?
Would you tell them that although you’re not always by their side,
That if they ever needed help that you would be their guide?

And to show them all the things to help them understand,
That every nook & cranny is a part of life’s grander plan.
Would you visit often and try not to shed a tear,
When the presence of your absence gets harder every year.

Would you listen closely when they come to speak,
About the troubles that they face and the comfort they now seek?
Would you boldly go where no one’s gone before,
And protect them with your wings so they can live a little more?

Would you put things in their path that help to make them see,
That the world around them is filled with love and empathy?
Would you be nearby when it’s time to move along?
From the world in which they know and sing another song.

When it’s all but come to transition from this state,
To walk the path of light and through the golden gates.
Enjoying every cloud and each celestial view,
In all the colors of the sky and every drop of dew.

Would you walk this journey from beginning to the end,
Knowing every soul you meet is just a lifelong friend?
To take a fragment of your heart and help to shed the light,
That the kindness we all seek is a gift from God in sight.

So, remember when you’re lonely and know that this is true,
That angels are around and are watching out for you.
