Only Time Stands Between Us

Only Time Stands Between Usfeatured

Hello, December. Your frostbite feels ever palpable you cold icy temptress.

As I write this post tonight, it marks the one-year anniversary since I started this blog. While my first post was at the end of December 2018, I spent a few weeks trying to figure out what I was going to do with this space. Now that I had it, what would I create with it?

I’ve mentioned to you many times that my interest to get back into writing stemmed mainly from my best friend Phil. If he were still on Earth, I’m sure he’d be the one telling you how much this entire blog should be dedicated to him. Lol, because after all he was my Mad Hatter and we were thick as thieves.

At this present moment, I couldn’t be anymore happier with how far this blog has come. It has been such a wonderful place to creatively, metaphorically, and spiritually exist in. It’s been my vibrantly colored and eccentric bed of roses, finally blooming where I planted them all that time ago. I hope I never lose this sense of wonder and excitement for the unimaginable. It has deepened my personal love for life, humanity, and the power of empathetic connection.

My posts as of late have been minimal and a smidge non-existent. It’s not because I’ve given up, became bored, or haven’t had time. Even with the holiday’s in tow I’ve had ample minutes and hours to put pieces together for eyes to read and thoughts to race. And I have been writing, just not on here as much.

I still plan to write for you and whisk you off your proverbial feet into an unknown world of endless possibilities; luring you into the depths of the mind. But please be patient with me, as I am also working on another book. Which ironically has chapters and is not poetry related at all. Writing every page of it has been something I have loved putting together. As if a full-time job, being a wife, and fur mom wasn’t enough to keep me plenty busy! I think I just enjoy being a creator of sorts.

In addition to this, I have a few other things planned for the new year so stay tuned. So while I’m creating, gyrating, and navigating over here…(LOL)

I hope you’re enjoying your holidays. Whether you’ve spent them with your friends, family, loved ones, fur babies, or your plants, I’m hoping it’s found you happy, healthy, and ready to take on 2020. Another decade is quickly upon us.

See you in 2020 & take care!
